The forms I create out of clay are like a blank canvas for intricacies; a bust will turn into a visual adventure as it is viewed from all angles. The details, not immediately identifiable as any specific thing, allows for the viewer to fill in the blanks. I portray powerful, regal figures containing multitudes, many are masked. I am passionate about exploring beauty, growth, adaptations, lines, textures, patterns, contrast, architecture, time, place, intention, process and really allowing myself the freedom to take my time to make work that can be a catalyst for a truly unique, deeply felt viewing experience.
